Iron City Hoops will offer programs this fall for both Boys and Girls to improve their game.
For boys, we will offer an in-house Sunday Fall Basketball League for 4th through 12th graders. The games/skills will take place at Mountain Brook Junior High on Sunday afternoons. The plan is to have a 4th/5th, Middle School, and a high school division. The ability to have a grade division will be dependent on the number of players registered for those grade levels and please know we may need to alter grade participation based on registration numbers.
Boys Elementary and Middle School divisions will have two options. For $230, you player can participate in a skills/league combo where they receive a skills session included with your practice/game session. With this option your player will participate in 5 skills trainings and 5 games. Families can also choose to play games only. This options is $130 for the 5 games.
All divisions will play Camp-style games of 16 minute running clock halves. Players will participate in 5 games. Teams will play half court man-to-man defense. Each game session begins with a 15 minute practice and then teams will move into game play. Teams will have a max of 10 players. Each grade division will have a max of 4 teams. Iron City Hoops will provide coaches to oversee the games and referees. This league will run in the same format of our Spring, Summer, and Winter leagues.
For girls, we will offer Skills/3-on-3 sessions on Sunday afternoon as well at Mountain Brook Junior High. It is open for 4th though 12th grade girls. With this program we will divide into Elementary, Middle, and High School divisions. Players will receive 30 minutes of skills training followed by 30 minutes of 3-on-3 play.
Program dates are the following Sundays:
August 20th & 27th
September 10th & 17th
October 1st
Cost for the Boys Elementary/Middle/High School Fall League games only option is $130. Cost for the Boys Elementary and Middle School combo option which will be $230. Cost for the Girls skills/3-v-3 program will be $130.
