Iron City Hoops will offer an in-house Sunday Winter Basketball League for 5th through 12 graders not participating on their school teams. The program will offer a combination of skills, practice, and games all in one day for the 5th through 8th graders. High School League will be games only. All activities will be at Samford's Bashinsky Gym located in Seibert Hall. Sunday afternoon games will run from 2:00-6:00 pm. The plan is to have a Middle School and High School divisions.
All age divisions will play 6 games.
For the Middle School Division, each Sunday begins with a 45 minute skills session/practice and then teams will move into game play. Cost for the Middle School League/Skills is $225. Skills session will be run by Coach Ronnie Mack. Coach Mack also offers one-on-one skills training. If you are interested in additional skills training you can contact him at chargermack@gmail.com to coordinate one-on-one sessions.
For the High School division, each Sunday session will begin with a short 15 minute practice and then move into a Camp-style game of 16-minute running clock halves. This High School division will run in the same format of our Spring, Summer, and Fall leagues. Cost for the High School League is $130.
Teams will have a max of 10 players. Each division will have a max of 4 teams. Iron City Hoops will provide coaches to oversee the games and referees.
Game dates are the following Sundays:
November 14th and 21st
December 5th and 12th
January 2nd and 9th
